Food for the Hungry Canada (FH) is a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to ending poverty – one community at a time. After about a decade, a community graduates and then they transition from coaches to the sidelines.

They need a dedicated, full-time Director of International Programs (DoIP) who grasps the influence this role has in the ongoing impact of FH Canada at home and abroad.  The International Programs (IP) department is the pipeline of information needed to maintain and expand donor engagement in Canada and achieve mutual transformation.  Reporting to the President/CEO, the DoIP will be part of developing and implementing the IP departmental strategies, foster connections within and outside the organization, provide various departments with key field information to support their strategic growth initiatives, oversee the administration of grant proposals and of commodities to partners and FH field staff, and collaborate on the development of new and/or updated programs/projects and their implementation supports.

Your accomplished administrative, networking and strategic skills with a minimum of 5 years experience in international development and 3 years spent successfully managing international development projects, supported by a university degree in International Development or a related discipline, will help equip you to serve as the DoIP.  Please note that the successful candidate must also be physically prepared to travel internationally (e.g. undergo vaccinations and preventative medications, etc.), and work flexible hours to accommodate meetings with staff in different time zones.
